cultural armor questions and new expansion

I'm a long time EQ player who has not used cultural armor much. But I've been thinking of getting some Elegant armor. Or should I wait?

I mean, will the new expansion next month have cultural armor upgrades? And what about sublime augs? Will they be upgraded as well? Or are these answers unknown until release date?

Due to the highly stratified partisan furor over cultural, Ngreth had stated at one point that cultural armor would not continue in its current incarnation.

He hasn't said anything to the effect of taking that back, though drops are in the game for the "next level" of it.

So the answer is, "Nobody knows that isn't under NDA." ;D

If you have Last Blood augments sitting around, Elegant + Sublime + Last Blood is the best groupable armor in the game atm, for melees at least. The melee-focus (Cleave V, Ferocity V, etc.) last bloods are still quite serviceable, but the caster-focus ones will decay to near uselessness when the spells are level 81 to 85.

If you don't have Bazu Seals or Last Bloods, the armor is not very good, you'd be better off going for SoF cored armor or buying LGuk/BB armor in the Bazaar.
