Skillups while wearing trophy

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but I can't find it using search and the last time I visited this site is 10-09-2005 according to "last visited" text up there so I haven't kept up to date. Anyway, does wearing +% tradeskill trophies affect the rate at which you skill up when normally a blue recipie turns light blue or green?...

The code to check for a skillup checks against your actual skill, not the modified skill.

A +% item does not affect your chance of getting a skill-up directly.

Depending on the tradeskill involved and the stats of your character it might improve your skill-up rate indirectly.

If you work on a trdeskill where the stat used in the skill-up formula isn't high enough to have fails at the same chance as successes and the +% item improves you chance of making the combine, then you get a very small positive effect from the item.
