Impact of new drops on tradeskills

If the recipes or access to some needed components or patterns are broken, it would obviously need to wait until Ngreth has free time between other projects.

However, if only the book that tells us how to make the augments is broken, why not post the info here?

I know players are supposed to find this info themselves, but the expansion is 8 months old and the only reason the recipes weren't found months ago is that the recipe book is bugged.

I don't even know if I wrote the book! It may have fallen to the wayside somewhere... and it takes time to write the text for the book :/

Hehe, if you didn't write it, that may kinda explain why no one has figured out the upgrades or tried to search for them.

I guess the follow-up question would be, are the recipes to make them actually in the game, regardless of the book text? Are they even made with tradeskills? I remember hearing that they may simply be drops from Crystallos, but nothing has surfaced yet, so I'm guessing it's more complicated than that.

Fairly certain I made the recipes I may have made the book text too. I just don't know. I have been so absolutely crazy busy that I have not even been able to spend the simple minute or two to check. I mean way busy.

It looks like next week will be less crazy and I will a few moments of spare time to look.

Stop spending the plat as soon as you make it. That will help with the being broke all the time! All markets get effected over time it is a fact you will have to learn to deal with, but there are always plenty of other markets. Diversify a little and you can continue to make plat (but it still won't help if you keep spending).

I have found that my cultural doesn't sell at all in the bazaar, and I haven't had a request to make anything since the drops.

On the other hand, I made 1 million plat from farming and selling the dropped materials, so I will probably spend it on maxing my fletching trophy lol. I could spend it on the way too many healing potions I buy each week; only time will tell.

I am not in it to make plat anyway; I have been an Iksar Smith practically since I made my character during Kunark.

I think it doesn't sell cause honestly people get confused by it all, but that's how it always used to be. I would rather deal with people who know what they are doing anyway. The only annoying thing is the stats showing what looks to be lower than the defiant cause people don't realize it's cultural and the aug for it is right next to the piece in my inventory.

It would be nice if it had little places to see what a complete package may look like like evolving items, but again, that's impossible cause of the many choices. Really though, I could care less. I enjoy tradeskilling and always have as it is. I know this might be confusing to new players, but well, I am a 41 year old woman who also continues to play D & D. I like this game with it's choices, and so much lore and mysteries.

I like that I can make myself nice stuff with supplimental raid drops to make it really nice. I wear a crap load of GM armor. Focus effect choices make that even better. Being an SK is a pita to get all the foci I want. I'll just keep up with my tradeskills and farm other things if need be. Less people to compete with for my raid drops!

Checked again after the last patch and the book was blank.

It has been 2 months since Ngreth said he would try to look into this, but no word.

Since we aren't supposed to directly address devs here, I even tried starting a thread at the SOE forums about a month ago. The only response from Ngreth was effectively "no news".
