err, whats up with this?

I'm trying to do the smithing subcombines for Poxysmit's Amalgamator Frame but even tho i've triple checked the recipe and the forge im using, its still saying i cant do the combine in that container type...am i missing a quest or book to be able to do these combines?

No book or quest required for these combines. Maybe try a different zone.
And quadruple check the items. Not sure which subcombine you are doing, but make sure you have the right kind and size of ore. If all else fails post the names of the things you are trying to combine.

I usually do these in PoK or guild hall. Haven't had a problem before. Like Bob said, quadruple check, as I it is probably the wrong ore that you have there.

I made a few of these yesterday in POK without any problems.

Make sure you're doing the combine in a forge instead of an oven, I did that once.

And finally try another zone if you are 100% sure you have the correct parts. Maybe that zone box is missing tradeskill data (this can be confirmed by trying another really simple combine... like two spider silk in a sewing kit)
