Large Darkhollow Geode

Anyone know a good place to get one of these? I've been murdering Ruins of Illsalin for a good while now, and there doesn't seem to be dropping any, should I go somewhere else?

drops

got off gargoyles at entrance there. Not common but they do drop there. Also got off werewolf type mobs in undershore and also got off witherans in stoneroot.

in The Hive (drachnids, not the bixies, hehe). I was able to get one a couple of times off of drachnid warriors.

There's some kind of problem with my quest journal window -- often lists steps from other quests.

In the case of the quest requiring the geode, my main has one, but I don't know who she's supposed to give it to. Just says to deliver it to Artisan.....

delivered to home city

I had to deliver mine to a npc in my home city. onetime i had one on corpse and figure why not and got the quest again to get the end product to make seals. but they tend to be rare and im sure they drop other places more like the hive or such. i camped the gargyles at ruins for like 20 hours and saw three drop i was farming dust and got 93. i kill pretty fast and its a 30 sec fight. havent gone there since it was made into a hotspot though.

It is the artisan in your home town.

A lot of people have problem with the quest window resizing and the columns disappearing.

1. Make the quest window large
2. Place your mouse pointer over the column titles (Objective Instructions, Status, Zone) and slide it around until you get >--< as a mouse cursor. The column separators are fairly faint.
3. Drag the column sizes until you have a healthy amount of space in each column. It might be easier to select a different quest from your list so that you can verify the columns are set up properly.
4. When you are finished, you should have 3 column headings.
5. Close the window.
