  • Help! Question...

I am a rogue with more than a bag full of illusions, so I am trying to cut down on what I need to carry. Are there still some recipes that cannot be done in the reinforced jewelry kit? In other words, how many different types of kit do I need to keep around? Currently, I have the reinforced and a collapsed, but if I could just use the reinforced for everything, I would be able to pass on the other. Before I do that, I want to make sure I am not going to mess myself up if I need to mount a black sapphire or something...

    Thanks for any help --

PoP combines still require the Planar kit. Just last night I had to buy one to make Imbue Water.
But.. as I said, I just went to PoK and bought the kit to do the combine(then sold it back when I was done). Not really any different than having to go buy a copy of Imbue Diamond to do the combine. I do the same thing with mixing bowls, and I use those quite a bit more than Planar Jeweler's kit.

The Reinforced JC kit is needed for the GoD weapon subcombines and to process Nihlites etc.

POP combines can be done in the collapsed JC bag I think as well.

I have a Collapsed kit I carry with me and I tokenize the Reinforced bag and leave it in the bank just in case I ever need it.

          Thanks for Info Guys

I generally leave my Reinforced in the Shared Bank or carry it, since most combines can be done there. I used to tokenize but started needing it too often. I will continue that way, but leave my collapsed in the bank too. There aren't that many times you need to do a jewelry combine in the field.

My husband gave me the same buy as you need and sell back advice, so I guess I need to remember that too...lol.

I believe (though I'm not certain) that Ngreth has said he recently changed some combines that required a Reinforced JC kit to work in a normal JC kit instead. If that's the case, then a collapsible JC kit should be able to handle everything -- PoP-specific combines, general combines, and GoD combines (which used to require the reinforced kit). I haven't verified this myself yet, though.

Recently (two weeks ago) I have made all the PoP Imbue combines in a collapsible JC kit. Couldn't believe my luck finding 2 putrescent bloods in the baz. But have had to use reinforced to make palladium bars as recently as last week. Haven't checked any of the nihilite though.
