    Stop Killing Tradeskills

One thing that bothers me as a tradeskiller is the serveral times a year that SOE wants to crush brewers and bakers from selling anything whatsoever. Let's face it, when the times listed below roll around, Brewers and Bakers suffer to the point that many just give up the trade all-together, thus hurting the game as a whole:

    - Anniversary celebrations
    - Halloween
    - Christmas

The way it hurts the game as a whole, is once these freebies are gone, players cannot find stat foods and stat drinks to adventure with. The tradeskillers that took the time to skill up to 300 just stop playing the game with SOE and throw in the towel. What other trade is there, that every 4 months, SOE will ruin the entire market on a trade? Who in their right mind would try to get into a trade when you have to compete with Sony's FREE FOOD AND DRINK?

I must be nuts to think that someone at Sony actually give a hoot.

I wish I could convince them not to do it.

One thing I do do is try and make sure some of the best food and drink still comes from baking and brewing.

        Crescent Reach Makes Tradeskills Easier

I have been doing the quest in Crescent Reach and you can get up to about 56 in every trade skill for FREE!!!

they give you the materials and the tool to use (like sewing kit) and you click away.

        Whoo hooo

Actually, I was looking at Alchemy specifically in my first post. And then at the backpacks.

Reading about something is a different experience than doing it. I last played a LONG time ago when plat was really really hard to get and the cost of stuff scared me.

As I said above, I like the idea of being able to try the crafts to a basic level for free.

Maybe I will enjoy hunting for stuff.

Are there crafting quests?? That might be a lot of fun.

Personally, the most valued tradeskill that I've done recently was "spell research". Since some of the spells are droppable off of mobs and researchable, sometimes I just don't have the patience to kill mobs over and over again, just for a spell drop. So I create it on my own. Plus, they sell really well in the bazaar.
