Since there not going to be any cultural changes there any chance they will up the drop rate on non tier 3/4 sof zones for the more rare ts items (porous loam exq fluid and exq marrow) Tribunal pp prices are insane and if these dropped more the prices would be alot less. Just my 2cents but hope they increase the drop rate.

Currently an Alloy-Linked bracer sells for 300k in the bazaar. BP's are actually down at 100k (obviously far too common IMO). The rest of the armor pieces fall between these 2 limits. Considering that Tier3/4 zones are not camped with any regularity (at least not on my server) it is still far too early to be increasing the drop rates of something which can produce equivalent armor. The majority of people I see grouping regularly are in DSH and Loping. To a lesser extent FM and BMK are camped. There is literally no-one camping regularly in Tier 3.

It is a 12 month expansion - start saving your platinum and you could buy selected armor (SOF or cultural) within a few months.

They were too high and dropping in far too many places for the power of the armor that they create. They are now at the correct/appropriate levels (this is their opinion not mine as stated in other threads on this topic) and I do not forsee them changing it.

The prices on CT at least are starting to come down and either from more farmers or shady persons using improper tactics, there is a healthy supply at all times in the bazaar now of loams, fluids, and marrows.

Pfft SoF armors are 300k or less (mostly less). Cultural gear goes for upwards 500-700k a piece, and just as much for sublime augs.

Most people can't camp tier 3, because they don't have the gear to, thus why they are farming tier 1/2. The people who can camp it have nothing to gain from camping it so they don't.

Also for most people trade a few months with a few years. At the current prices most of the people who get the largest upgrades from the cultural gear haven't ever had enough to buy 1 piece, let alone enough to farm tier 3.
Prices won't go down to reasonable levels until the next expansion most likely.

Sadly I'm relatively sure that it doesn't matter. Ngreth had previously said straight out that if it was decided to not make changes to the cultural armor then the drop rate would not be changed.

I think the drop rate could be eased up a bit and not really effect the game over all, but I think the armors and symbols not being messed with is worth the rareity.

I have seen the same people with the same armor/symbols at the 500-700k range and it does not seem like they are moving. The loams and marrows and fluids were up in the 400-500 range, some at 600 a couple weeks ago, now they are all pretty much down to 275-325 range. Again, your server market prices will be different, but these are the CT numbers. If the SoF tier 2 dropped armor is better value for you as a player to wear, then use that.

Prices on my server were around 450 to 500 until a few weeks ago. They have dropped to about 350 to 400. However, I would be shocked if they don't rebound. I know myself and others were waiting to see how the hammer wouild fall before we made sublimes. If the stats on sublimes were moving, we would have made the armor. Now with the clarification people can make their choice.

Price will jump.

I seriously doubt that we will see an increase. We might have seen a slight increase if the decision had gone the other way. As it stands right now, if there is a change (and I don't think there will be) it will be to lower the drop rate.

I believe it was stated that if armor stayed as is then the droping outside of teir 3/4 would be removed entirely. This might have changed.

I personally dont think the drop rate is too high or too low.

I thought it was said no change meant no change. Even if people like one aspect of the proposed changes (be it drop rate changes or adding the 75 armor) if it was decided to not nerf the seals then nothing would be done.

Naw, the "no change" was clearly directed at the stats on the armor and how they go together. Plenty of room to alter drop rates and locations.

We do NOT think that the armor with seals has appropriate stats, we just decided it was not worth it to change existing items.

We do not want more of this coming into the world than will be.

We will not be adding the drops to any other zones, nor will we be increasing the drop rates.

The plan is for this armor to eventually become obsolete as players stop hunting in the zones where the drops exist.

We do not plan on any drop rate changes in either direction. Other than the few changes I mentioned in my post we are done spending time on this as we want it to fade away.

I assumed that the prices coming down on these tradeskill components were from people dupping them with whatever the heck the process they used for the shaped taaf's.
