NO stat changes being made on Cultural Armor!

Well, I'm glad it turned out the way it did, but mostly just relieved that it's finally resolved, no matter which way it went.

I am one of those 'lesser raiders'. My guild on test is just breaking into Demi-Plane. I had 3 pieces of level 70 armor with bazu augs before the new expansion and now I have 3 pieces of level 80 armor with bazu augs (and level 75 cultural augs).

Honestly, it would take me way more than a year to have any hope of ever replacing all my visible armor with the level 80 stuff, plus 80 augs plus LB's. Actually the latter would take me a whole lot longer than that.

The situation on test may be a little different; any porous loams I ever see will be ones I picked up off a corpse myself, but I still don't see how likely it ever was that any significant number of 'lesser raiders' were just going to walk out tomorrow and all of a sudden have 8 LB augs and 16 porous loams (assuming no failures).

That's just not the reality for most people who are in that situation in EQ.

I appreciate the dev's consideration on all this. I know you're in a no win situation, but I want to offer my thanks for all the time you invested in this discussion.

I am affraid you are missing the point.

Cultural armor with Seal is not well balanced. It makes no difference what the rarity is.

The argument about High End vs Mid Tier is also a distraction. If armor is not well balanced what does that have to do at what level someone raids. It's not well balanced, it's simple.

Of course. Because letting people other than uber raiders have good gear that lets them do well in current content is obviously unbalanced.

In case you live under a rock, EQ has been becoming more and more socialist these past few months. There has been a growing effort to balance the playing field, because if everyone but uber raiders gets tired and leaves, EQ will die.

Problem with 80/80/LB is something different. This is not an equal opporunity situation like group gear. There were thousends of LBs that were in game long before SoF. Those that were lucky to have them were given a gift. That's not how you level the playing field.
