    Has anyone noticed...

    That when doing tradeskills for skill ups....

    It has seemed to me that I would get more frequent skillups when I had no Kei or wis/int buffs on my cleric. I would find myself having KEI or Tranquillity up and not doing anything for 60 combines. I would take it off and try another 60 and go up 3 or 4 ups.

    It was then when I started doing my Tailoring to get it to 250 I never had any type of buffs on me and found that while I failed more, I had a lot more skill ups happen than what was the normal every 25-30 combines. It seemed to be lowered to about 18-20.

    Just curious if anyone else has found this to be true?

    Hmmm, I thought it was just a bad RNG streak, but on Friday night I did 14 tinkering attemps at Geerlok Fermentation Devices, and got one skill up with a KEI.

    Then on Sunday I got another 13 blocks off a friend of mine and did the combines without a KEI, and got 4 skill ups.
    Come on guys, one more pull. What is the worst that could happen?

      ok gonna test this out tonight. I have been doing pottery with a constant 1 to 2 skillups per 40 attemps.

        in anycase, we'd need much (much) more data.

          Honestly I've never been sure if this was true or not. Sometimes I've wondered, especially after getting skillups when not having KEI. But it seems I've gotten as many skillups without as I did when KEI was going on whatever character was tradeskilling up. So I figured it's strictly an RNG thing and all in my head.

          Bollocks.


          I did 245-250 in Baking in 40-50 combines, and I had KEI.

          I always have KEI, and my skillups aren't suffering. Superstition, and an uprovable one, which is the worst kind.

            You do know that Gordon said two years back that there is code to stop doing skill-ups in bulk. That doing a few combines and then waiting will be better then doing 100 combines in one shot. I remember that statement and have always done 10 combines and then waited an hour of play time being sure to zone in between.
