      - The River Source in the Warrens can no longer be attacked.
What is the point of that thing anyway? I've tried killing it on several occassions but could never pump out enough damage fast enough solo?

No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

You cannot gain melee skills off a green mob. The river source was level 1. Was it so much of an issue for level 5 people to work on their
        "neglected" melee lol!?

IIRC it is a quest turn-in mob, as bizarre as that seems.

            river source

Yup, it's a quest to poison the kobolds water supply, or something of that nature. You have to hand the poison to the river source.

The river source was used for haste and DPS parsing.

Uninteresting patch? Only if you have never been thwarted by a bug and have a sufficiently blazing fast computer that you never have performance issues. With my elderly machine I am always immensely grateful for reductions in bandwidth, lag, ghosting, and pauses when someone zones in. I hate playing cleric (as a shaman) and don't do it very well, so the improved hp updates will save lives. That particular horse bug sometimes prevented me from using my horse, so now I will get more use from my investment.

As for the various minor tweaks and fixes, they all add up. They may not be particularly important in and of themselves, but they make the world as a whole seem shabby. Fixing them improves the overall experience.

I wonder if the fixes to the face picker will correct the complicated bug that resulted in me having to choose between no wode in the new UI or a face that I hate in the old UI. *hope hope hope*

My understanding, being back at work now, is that patch(1) caused the zoning crashes. Patch(2) was released that causes crashes at the character select screen. Has patch(3) been released now?

Someone was just mentioning over at Paladins of Norrath that things appear to be back to 'normal' (whatever that is  ), so it looks as if the crash at log-in issue may have been fixed.

I've gotten 3 or 4 repatches since then, seems it still crashes on zoning.
I'd run one of those thorough scans, but it's still happening to others, so who knows.

The Bazaar keeps re-setting... and sending everyone back to their bind-points! :eek

So I changed my trader-wench's bind-point to her trader spot.

                                Ah, I wondered about that.

I left my trader mule on overnight (the servers came up after the patch about 11pm local time), and I wake up this morning and find ... nothing.

                                Eh?

Then I check the logs, and the last two lines are "Returning to bind point" and "LOADING, PLEASE WAIT".

Given that my mule's bind point is still in Freeport, I was NOT amused.

Between that and the zone-crash bug (which hadn't been fixed when my trader logged on), I had been disconnected.

I am not a happy camper.

Frankly, I don't know why they have a test server. Isn't it supposed to be the whole point that they try out stuff like this there, before implementing it on the live servers?
