Smithing exalted augs

Please help me. I have been tailoring exalted augs (Tailoring 300 + trophy maxed out) but when I try to smith (Smithing 296 + trophy @ 8%) I am told the materials appear appropriate but I need additional information. The NPCs at the library will sell me the tailoring exalted books but not the smithing exalted or smithing elegant/sublime armor. Anyone know what is up with this?

Exalted symbol recipes books do not become available from the merchant until you are 300 skill.

Hmm, I thought exalted was 275 and sublime was 300.

Eminent symbols and elaborate armor are 275.

Exalted and Sublime symbols and Elegant armore are 300.
