undiscovered old~world recipies

Can add to the list the Xakra Dat armor pieces (30747-30758) and the Holpa Mak Gor pieces (30759-30770). These are lowbie armors that drop in Shadeweaver's Thicket. All are tradeskill tagged, none have known uses. Is there a secret upgrade recipe for them? Was an upgrade originally intended, but never implemented?

I've got a list (presumably as complete as possible) of items that:

a) have a tradeskill tag (based on a download from eqitems last week)
b) aren't used in any current recipes that I can find on eqtraders

I'm working on weeding out all of the items that, up until recently, had recipes (research for instance.) I'll post this list (with the numbers) sometime this week, hopefully.

I remember back in the day, a very good friend of mine who was also a tailor swore up and down that he was experimenting with vacuum wurm hides and got a message saying he had failed to make an item (vs. the "this combo didn't make anything" message). I spent the better part of a couple weeks getting several vacuum wurm hides and trying to figure out what the recipe could be. This is back when you lost whatever items were in the bag when you hit combine. I tried all sorts of variations of the leather armors in game at the time and never had any luck.

We were never able to figure it out. I just checked eqplayers and it didn't have anything in the database, and the wurm hides aren't flagged for tradeskills.

I don't know if they had thier TS tags removed or were removed from vendors as I haven't bothered to look recently.

However, there were merchant sold items and blood drops in DoDH zones that were intended for Fletching combines that were never actually put into the game.

So they are (or were) marked as TS, but the recipes were never put in.
