  • Working Baking skills.

While on Abysmal sea I tried to work on baking skills but it seems you can't there. Being very new to this game as in 3 week old toon and trying to learn tradeskills, is there a place you can get lvled up to 54 in baking like you can in smithing, tailoring on Abysmal sea. thank you.

If you can get to Cresent Reach, you should be able to work on the skills there too. You can always make the long walk to absymal sea otherwise...

There is an NPC in Abysmal that will take you to 54. There may be a couple different NPCs there, so try talking to them all.

You can also go to Cresceht Reach if you have The Serpent's Spine expansion. They are a bit easier there to do (the quests that is), and the NPCs are very clearly marked with <Tradeskill Quest>.

You can do baking there. When you face the magus (after zoning into Abysmal Sea from Nedaria via the magus) take the door on your left and go down the flight of stairs by your feet.

From this landing turn slightly to the right and pass the set of stairs (on your left) and continue straight. Just a few steps ahead there is a door on your right, this is the Brewing / baking area. The brew barrel is immediately on your right and the baking area is the BBQ grill in the back.

The grill is really an oven and works like any other oven, except you have to click on the items on the grill to get it to open. It usually takes me a couple tries to get it to work.

          Progressive Quests

All those quests available in Abysmal Sea are listed on the Gates of Discord Progressive Quests page. (Take the "Quests" button from the home page, then take "Gates of Discord", then take "Progressive Quests").

          Good Luck on your tradeskilling

Being a SK of Dark Elf not many in Cresent reach like me now

Thanks for all the info I will go back to Absymal sea seems most of the NPC's will deal with me now as a dark elf. The port stone helps a lot getting there.

I totally missed the link to Gates of Discord quests, I have registered for so many sites to help with in game sort of muffed now by all that is out there, like I said I am a brand new toon to this game, so much to learn its a little overwhelming. Glad for CR quests now I can take my ranger there he will do fine there but CR doesn't really like dark elves at all.

So glad a older toon told me of the ctrl button use to unstack stuff and give it faster to NPC's saves a bunch of typing.

Not sure if this has been pointed out or not, but has anyone noticed that on the baking part on the oven/grill you can't keep it open and just give the NPC the stuff as you make it, meaning I could with the mixing bowl but not the oven/grill now. Other NPC allowed me to keep open the working part to do the combine but it seems not to work on the oven/grill baking part now.

Stationary containers, once you open them, do not let you interact with NPCs.

However, if you open up the buyer window to the vendor, then open the stationary container, you can have both opened but be warned, with a vendor interface opened, trying to click on a slot in your bags/inventory will act as if trying to sell it to the NPC. So it takes a little getting used to.

Also it does not work if try to open a second tradeskill container (like opening an oven with a mixing bowl open).

Also, I think everyone starts non-KOS to Crescent Reach no matter what the race/class combo, same as Abysmal Sea.

Unless you did something to destroy your faction, you should have no problems in CR. It's the one of the starting cities for all classes/all races (along with the original hometown.)

If you have faciton problems, you can always go to Stone Hive and slaughter bixies en masse. They give crystalwing faction.

                    Easy as Pie ..er

                    Simple: Make FISH ROLLS!
Triv at 135. Just go to the pool area in PoK. There are four visable vendors.
You want the Dk Elf to buy the Bat Wings, and the Barb to buy the fresh fish.
Stand there with a spit and in less than half an hour you will max triv.
Quick, easy, and pretty painless. You may wish to stop at 99 and get your trophy quest first (and maybe your trophy too!), then go on to 135 and watch that baby evolve!

                    Rommy!
