  • Cultural Armor to Match Exalted Augs

I heard a rumor that an armor level would be introduced to match the Exalted Augs. According to the rumor, this armor would require the same droppable ingredients as the augs.

Is there any substance to this rumor?

Was not listed in the changes today per the 'preview' of the patch notes SOE had posted this am.

Ngreth has also stated that SOE is still deciding what to do - if anything - about the cultual armor. Since the change in loam drop rates, he has stated at least twice that 'do nothing' is an option (although if he does, the ~1/3000 chance for a mob outside of SOF T3/T4 dropping porous loams/exquiite marrows/exquiste spinneret fluids) will be removed.

Bopttom line: No changes this patch. Uncertain if there will be a new '75' set of armor in the future.

The change in drop rate is really really noticeable, to the point where I think I better get my flags so I can farm stuffs $$$$

There are no flags required to get into tier 3 SoF zones to get to mobs where the porous loams/exquisite marrow/exquisite spinneret fluid.

Only MMM is locked in the Tier 3 zones and Crystallos, the only Tier 4 zone is keyed (requires MMM ground spawn).

Steam Factory and SHIP are both viable options to kill "humanoids" and get the top drops. Zeka I think also has some drops but not been able to get out and hunt as much lately as I would like.

In the last week my group saw 2 porous loam drops from goblins in the fort in Loping Plains and 3 Exquisite Marrow drops from the drakes in Crysallos.

Zeka does not drop like SHIP and Steam.

The foundry in Steam is good, lots of brownies, mino's, and gnomes.

Zeka has extremely few (read as for all purposes zero) mobs that are flagged as being alive and as such no real chance of dropping any cultural or template drops at all. All of the other Tier 3 zones that I know of only have humaniods so you can't farm for a specific drop in any of them. Crystallos is the only zone where you can to my knowledge realistically farm for a specific armor type drop. From what I hear the Golems there are not something a group of people is really going to want to farm specifically either.

Outside of those zones you have an estimated 0.03% chance of getting an Exquisite level drop of the Marrow/Fluid/Loam when killing level appropriate mobs.
