  • What's with the sublime charm recipes?

The sublime charm recipes are really strange. Depending on the race you are creating one for, you must do a 1 charm, 2 charm or 3 charm combine.

    Elegant Charm of Physical Corruption:
    1 Ossified Adamantite
    1 Porous Loam
    1 Exquisite Marrow
    2 Unfired Elegant Charm
    1 Dweric Powder
    1 Symbol of Physical Unity

    Yield: 2

    Elegant Charm of Physical Conviction:
    1 Ossified Crystalwing Ore
    1 Porous Loam
    1 Exquisite Marrow
    1 Exquisite Spinneret Fluid
    3 Unfired Elegant Charm
    1 Dweric Powder
    1 Symbol of Physical Unity

    Yield: 3

    Elegant Charm of Physical Foundation:
    1 Ossified Brellium
    1 Porous Loam
    1 Unfired Elegant Charm
    1 Dweric Powder
    1 Symbol of Physical Unity

    Yield: 1

Why are we forced to make 2 or 3 charms at once for certain races?
I tried the following to make a single Elegant Charm of Physical Corruption:
    1 Ossified Adamantite
    1 Porous Loam
    1 Unfired Elegant Charm
    1 Dweric Powder
    1 Symbol of Physical Unity

    But it does not combine.

That's the way the charm recipes have always been. It's on Ngreth's long list of things to be looked at when he has a chance.

The reasoning, whether flawed or not, is that the charms have to be created to account for all the possible armor types for a race or deity setup. The idea being races that have more options will require more of the rare drops but receive higher yields on the combine to sell to help offset the costs.
