New Demand for the Elaborate stuff

It seems that the rareness of the drops for the Elegant Armor has caused new demand for the old Elaborate armor. Wishing I hadn't sold my old stuff so cheap to make room.

With porous loam fetching 250k (on AB anyway) it's not suprising. Here's hoping the price drops somewhat soon, but until then I will be mostly making elaborate

wow. Only 40K per exalted aug on Drinal. I can hardly keep up with the demand, been making m for 4 days and sold over 200 already. The orders just keep coming in =)

Elaborate is still a slow seller for me, at 10-30K I only sell a few pieces a day and I keep full sets for humans, wood elves and high elves in stock. It takes up 72 slots on my trader... so I'm not sure yet if I want to keep making them if the demand stays this low. Expected my sales to increase as well.

On Erollisi Marr, I can make exalted and am working on the Sublime quest. I have already made some elegant armor.

I don't know the pricing on elegant yet, and no sublime are in the bazaar but the price for a Sublime BP on the 'black' market is over 1 million plat from what I heard last night. (I had an interesting conversation with other bazaar tradeskillers on this exact subject.)

Exalted however started off at 200k, within a day or two, some were selling for 100k, then some trying for 100k while some for 90k and 70k. This weekend 70k was the going rate, and now there are more than 40 up for sale, most at 60k range.
- The conversation in OOC was about the fact that folks were trying to sell the rarer components that go into exalted for 25-40k a piece. So pricing on ingredients was out of whack with prices tradeskillers were selling the exalted at.
- And for Sublime, folks had those rare components up for 400k or 500k a piece. And all for a 30-50 hp increase.

I have had to drop prices on my elaborate gears from 5 - 10k each piece and I still haven't been able to move anything. Doesn't even cover the cost of making them let alone the cost of skilling up.

Just a quick question about the exalted augs since people are talking about them here. These things simply require alkalai loam and flawless silk right ? On my server anyway the ALkalai can be had for 2k or so but the symbols are selling for 100-130k what am I missing ?

I had planned to exhaust my supply of Elaborate armor, but thus far, the plate/chain stuff continues to sell. So, I guess I will be keeping that in stock. Barbarian leather and Gnome silk are not very good sellers, so I haven't replaced those pieces that sold. I need the trader slots for other stuff.

Elegant/Sublime components are around 250-300k each on The Rathe. The archetype is quite irrelevant (for now), but I'm hoping that the marrows/fluids drop due to the smaller number of GM tailors. I have seen the occasional Elegant armor piece for sale in the 600k range, and there is one person selling Sublime symbols at 665k each, but I haven't seen any more than that.

As far as Exalted symbols go, they're hovering around the 80k range. Chest/Legs symbols go for a bit more, and Wrist symbols are considerably cheaper, likely due to the trivials and failure rates (although that's a BS reason, honestly).

I was never a fan of stocking pre-made symbols in the bazaar for a couple of reasons, but I have a handful on my trader as an experiment that hasn't gone particularly well. I will likely allow those to sell (however long that takes), and simply not replace them. It's much easier and less wasteful on my stock of components to advertise them and make them to order.

Exalted augs started around 50k on 7th, and have dropped to around 40k thanks to a number of people getting through the quest relatively quickly. Supplies for exalted can be had for low enough prices that 40k is still quite profitable, but prices for the sublime/elegant stuff is just ridiculous. There haven't even been enough fluids/loams/marrows in the bazaar to start setting a standard price, so it's whoever is willing to drain their bank account when someone comes in and ooc's one of them for sale.

As a side note, I haven't had much luck selling Elaborate armor (even at lowest price in baz for those items), but I've been selling, on average, 5-7 eminent augs per day for the past few weeks (at 7.5 to 10k each).

Demand for Elaborate

I've actually made two complete sets of elaborate recently, and have an order for a third with a full set of exalted augs. Not as nice as Elegant + Sublime, but still a very nice for many non-raiding players and relatively affordable if one lucks out on a few marketable drops. hat's also not really advertising, just folks who have seen a few pieces on my bazaar toon and sent tells asking. (I need to put up a piece of Troll Elegant for that market.)

My elaborate stockpile has been selling faster post SoF than before. It also helps that I'm selling it cheap using SoF recipes rather than the older DoN recipes.

ie old DoN recipe for leather chest would cost me about 30k to 40k if I don't fail. With the new recipes, I figure I can make a chest or leg for about 5k tops as the animal pelt are dirt cheap in bazaar. Cheaper if I find an already made template on a vendor somewhere.

Have been selling matching sets of elaborate armor and aug, (ie. sell a sleeve and the aug to go with it, or wrists and 2 augs, etc.)
working out great for me.
