  • Recipe Search in Containers

While I do appreciate these newly scribed armor books providing me the ability to "know" every single recipe available to me, the overwhelming number of recipes has now made the search function within the tailoring/smithing containers to be cumbersome at best.

Often times, an accurate search now requires the user to have a fair idea of the trivial range combined with the item name in order to configure a search filter that does not far exceed the parameters of the display.

Would it be possible to add additional search filters to the UIs of these types of containers?

For example, the addition of a diety filter or a race filter would make a world of difference in the search functionality of smithing and tailoring containers.

Increasing the length of the search field string would allow for a more exact search, but again this relies on the user to know the exact name of that "Eminent Breeches Symbol of the Flying Turket Trot" item, which is also defeatist.

Of course, increasing the cutoff point of displayed search results would also eliminate the issue of an incomplete search being displayed, but still that results in a search that doesn't filter very well and still returns an overwhelming number of matches.

Just offering suggestions to return some level of practicality to the search functions. Being at 300 raw skill, frankly I know far far too many recipes, now!

An idea I had the other day is "Favorite sets" the same way we already have spell sets and hot button sets.
For example I could have an "Elaborate chain" set that I put the appropriate cobalt chain and Elaborate chain recipes in. And then one for Elaborate Leather, and one for Elaborate Plate.
In my toolbox, I could have one for AAAA subcombines, another for AGAA, a third for ABAA, and finally one for AOAA.
For research, I could set up some for the more popular spells with the spell and all of its subcombines.

I think favorite sets would be a great feature.

As far as search narrowing, Ive not had any problems. As long as you know the leading two words of the set you want, the search result is pretty reasonable. "cobalt chain," or "sublime chest" for example.

That, or wildcard characters to allow you to do things like:
Sublime ______ Symbol of Integrity to pull up the entire list.

I've just taken to Sublime Chest to pull up the entire list, which actually it's not too bad overall. It's more of an annoyance that I can't just run down the list like I like to LOL.
