Item loss bug with new JC items and shared bank.

Admins can you move this to wherever it needs to be.

The New JC items are bugged badly.
If you put a completed New JC item into your shared bank then camp to change characters then the character that put the items into the shared bank will lose all their bank bags along with the shared bank bags.

SOE are very good about replacing the items but it requires a restore to prior to the change in character.

Happened twice to me now and still waiting on the response for the second time.

Placing them into inventory or general inventory or storing them in the normal bank is perfectly fine just not in the Shared Bank.

I obviously didn't feel safe testing this myself, but I do know of at least one person in game who got hit by the bug. He's on pretty often if you want to pop on and chat with him. I can provide you with his toons' names if that helps.

I made a load of platinum trio jewellry settings in PoK, cut some of the gems (round emeralds, peridots and 1 other - i forget, with square ruby, various cuts of presigitase and staurolite).
I zoned into baz to add the gems using birdbath, zoned back into PoK to get more gems but what with all the molds and cutting tools I had to make some room in bags so dumped a load of the finished earrings etc. into shared bank. Zoned back into baz to make some more, zoned back into PoK and bank and shared bank was completely empty apart from plat.
Am still waiting on a roll-back 3 days later ; (

It may depend on which type of JC and/or type of augment that causes the bank to get wiped.

I made the velium trio jewelry and put the augs into those and put it into the shared bank slot. logged out then onto my alt to get them out and poof the shared bank slots were empty logged back onto my char that made them and it's entire bank was completely wiped out nothing left in it or even in the shared bank slots all of it gone.
Sad thing was that I had to log onto a completely different computer into my account to even send a petition. Because the computer that I was on that had it happen to would not allow me to get anything in the window to do a petition it was completely blank.
I am really hoping that they will roll that char back to get everything in my bank and shared bank slots. I had some very very rare magicians spells in the bank waiting to be scribed when I hit that level. :-(

I have moved several Palladium Trio pieces (all types, all fully augged with Opal/Peridot or Opal/Emerald in the Type 10s, most high end gems in the type 11s) between toons using the shared bank and have not had any issues at all. Perhaps the metal type has something to do with it?

Could this be comming from the "fix" they did for the duped AAAA's awhile back?

It is not related bug. The bug is the new JC has augs for the stats but they are still dropable. In the past any item that has augment becomes no drop and can't be used in shared bank. The new JC can be put in shared bank but something gets screwed because of the augments and the bank goes bankrupt on you.

I bet it has something to do with the way the server stores item information and those extra slots being at the end of the file. Of course I have no inside knowledge on the details of this but I recall reading something about how these items with more than one aug slot where a problem in the past and how the shared bank slots sit at the end of the file making it difficult to add more bank slots or make containers with more than 10 slots.

I'm pretty sure you've already done this, but here's what I'd try to do to replicate this. These are the steps I would have taken myself, had I not read the warnings first.

Create a new character and level it to 75.

Give the character 34 bags -- 24 in the main bank, 8 in inventory, and two in shared bank.

Fill most of the bag slots with items. Don't forget the worn inventory. This is as close as possible to a real toon. (You can probably get away with a beta-buff toon and buy a bunch of different items from vendors.)

My guess would be that people went for the high end stuff, so my test item would be a dwerium trio ring with cut taaffeite, opal, and emerald. Insert the three gems into the ring, equip it to verify stats, then remove it. Then stick it in the shared bank, camp, log in an alt, remove from shared bank, and equip, then log out and log in the original character.

About the type 10 augs.Nobody is every going to make anything other than opal,emerald,and peridots for these augs.The rest of the type 10 gems are kinda silly.
