New Combine Message

I am combining in the culteral forge, I have the correct items and upon hitting combine I get the following message.

This seems correct but something is wrong. Perhaps you need to know something more in order to combine this.

If I change the recipe at all I get the standard "You cannot combine these items in this container type!"


I have max skill max mod and have done the task for the book twice. I rehailed Elistar which netted me the same Culteral book I've always had.

I dont have any trouble making templates just the final combine.

Someone please help !

You cannot experiment to learn that recipe. The only way to learn that recipe is by purchasing the book for it. Book is on vendors in major tradeskill cities (PoK, AS, CR).

I bought all smithing and all tailoring books and scribed them, twice now in fact.

I dont have any trouble making templates just the final combine.

The templates and the armor are not the same books. Anyone can make the templates if they know the recipe and you CAN learn templates in experiment mode.


That error message you are getting means you are trying to "experiment" to learn a recipe that is locked by the recipe books. You have to use the tradeskill UI to craft these items.

Seems there are more then one vendor for books in PoK, I only found the 1 in CR. Missed some books!

there are 4 (all 4 should be in all 3 towns they are in) in CR they are spread out a bit more than in PoK and Abysmal.
