  • SoF: Cultural armor

    1) Does anyone have any basic idea of what the symbols are going to have on them. like how high hp/mana/end?

    2) What is the base ac and hp/m/end for the 80 armor?

    3) For the slot 12 slot, is there going to be grpable or Tradeskill augs for that slot?

I just wanna know how high tradeskilling is going to go so i i know if i should buy the expansion or not thanks all that reply to this.

I saw a sublime chest aug linked about 1 hour after servers came up and stayed up. Was WOW over 200 hps and a bunch of effects. I think foul play was involved there though. The sublime quest would take way longer to finish than that. I exped in the reaver part for 5 hours today only saw 5 reavers. Maybe a better spot to camp them but still, killing 40 of those but the 20 mobs in the other zone then making the turn ins and combines. Fishy that is.

On that note, I love the uber ogre =) but 40 of the darkroot shaman on the 75 aug was mean lol =)

I saw two links last night. An Exalted Chest, and a Sublime Chest. The Exalted had around 250hp...the Sublime had 313, I think.

i dont think you have to have the quest to see the recipes, just to get the mold/pattern for the combine. so you should be able to open your forge/kit and check for the recipes and you can get a link from the recipe list, so this probably isnt an exploit of any kind.

Yep. I have all tailored armors and augs in my 300 tailoring kit....... even though I'm only level 57 and can't get the quests for making the augs.

Yes. You can link all the new armor and symbols by scribing them to your learned recipes then bringing them up in an appropriate container search.

              Darkroot shaman is indeed cruel:
              1. You're guaranteed to have Malo on practically the whole time you're at camp, so no ooc regen.
              2. They're widely scattered, any normal shroom can be the PH, so you have to roam the tunnels looking for them.
              3. They like to root, a major pain for kiting classes.
              4. They like to hang out next to vinesnarl adds, pretty much instant death if you aggro them.
              5. Assorted named mobs and invis-breaking traps can be trouble if you don't keep moving.

My best advice is to group up with other people doing the same quest.

I also would have preferred something other than the Darkroot Shaman.(Maybe do something in a SoF zone?) As it is, I expect to ding 77 before I finish this based on last night (5 shaman in a bit over two hours).

The vinesnarl adds are a pain, to say the least.

What I did was set up camp in a quiet corridor near the Vinelord Molder room. (I don't have the exact location, but if you enter Molder's room from outside where the gardeners are - i.e., you are going deeper into the shroom caves - go to the opposite exit, and when you hit the T-intersection just outside Molder's room take the left fork. Don't seem to be any wanderers there, but there are two or three that go through the corridor on the right into Molder's room.

From there, I pulled the three wanderers, the shroom right at the T-intersection, and I think five shrooms in Molder's room. The only vinesnarls were near Molder himself (who I didn't touch). As I was three-boxing, there wasn't much down time as I killed PH's. Seems like any non-named shroom can spawn a warrior, tender, shaman, or rare (e.g., Deathshed). Shaman seemed to have a one in six or one in eight spawn rate. Would occasionally get adds - at least one pull is a double pull the first time - but not too bad unless I got a few wanderers on me at the same time. Just loooong . . . hoping the mammoths are better.

If you have a full group, moving through the corridors and clearing multiple rooms would seem to be the way to go. A full group will have downtime doing just one room, as we quickly found when some guildy's came by a bit before I logged. Can invis between two rooms (avoid vinesnarls in the corridors) to up the PH kill rate.

But these guys can spawn anywhwere, and even with how large the caverns are you will never find more than 2-3 up at a time. Killing the PH's seems to be the only way to go.

I know I managed to get 70% of the way through lvl 76 doing this task. It took a group of us just about 6 hours to get all the quest finished. This was undoubtedly one of the more annoying quests I've done in awhile. Now we're going to have to go back and do it at least once more if not twice more because of various of those in my normal group who either weren't quite ready, or because we can't get the right group makeup if we took along just the TS'ing people. 2 clerics and a 73 monk and 70 beastlord just can't work this quest. As was my 20k tank and one of the top clerics on the server were still struggling at times. 2-3 mobs in camp at any given time was common with wanderers and respawns. Those vineherders are brutal if the shaman have had a chance to buff them and their pets. Figure 3-5k dps unless you have some AE Crowd control, trust me, 20k doesn't last long with that, even defensive.
