  • TS Trophys

I just noticed thay all my Master trophies have the same graphic to them now. This is going to make it real interesting to make sure one has the correct trophy in for combines.

Although the trophies now share a common graphic and icon, the names still clearly indicate which is which. Reading the item name takes a whole split second.

Do all trophies under final evolution share the same graphic now? All of my masters and the one expert trophy appear to be the same. The only expert level trophy I have is on my gnome so its scaled down to appropriate race-size, so while it looks tiny I assume its still the identical graphic.

The new Mundugunuu Medicine Stick looks great. Very shaman-esque, nice work.

The Peerless Pestle? Honestly, I can't tell there. The little thing gets swallowed up in the giant hands of my dwarf rogue so I can't see anything but the tip of it. Kinda looks like he's walking around with a pickle.

I only have the two final evolution items at present. I'll have to poke around at other TS'ers to see what the other nine final items look like.

I prefer the old graphics, though - wielding the smithing hammer off-hand so my cleric could impersonate a warrior was a good way to avoid excess harassment in PoK.

GM trophies are now new Icons but they are individual to the tradeskill. my GM tailoring one is called Mystical Bolt. and (personal opinion here) i hate it. It looks like a tinkering item, not a tailoring one.. gimme back my needle. Someone in chat channel said maybe it was a bolt of cloth, but I'm a quilter in RL, and it looks NOTHING like a bolt of cloth. It reminds me of the hydraulic part of your screen door thing to keep your door open.

Yeah, a Thimble did not work real well, too small, so it was decided to go for a bolt of cloth. (Medieval bolts were wrapped around a wooden rod, not a square piece of cardboard like nowadays...)

I am going to see if I can get some drag icons that will help with the look of the 1-6 evolved trophies being easier to discern.

            Long way away

Ouch. I've only been making things I can seel after reaching 300. So, while I have 2 Brewmaster's Mugs, my other trophies have a long way to go. My Jeweler and Researcher are only halfway there.

Oh, and the new Mug graphic is ugly.

I like the look of the new mug.The Jeweler's Eyeglass looks like some sort of gnome contraption, but I still like it too.

Ok, I have had my Brewmaster's Mug and Den Mother's Rolling Pin for quite awhile now. Post SoF patch, Rolling Pin was fine, however the Mug icon is the new standard TS trophy icon (ieearl necklace). It looks correct equipped (I like the new graphic), just not in inventory.

                Anybody else experiencing the same?

If you're seeing a pearl necklace for your trophy, your icons are screwed up. The new Brewmaster's Mug looks like this: The graphic is in dragitem50.tga, so you might want to check your files.
All the Level 6 tradeskill trophies (currently) look like this: That graphic is located in dragitem51.tga.

i love that the trophies look like trophies! but, my first thought on logging in was also, "Oh great, now i'm gonna have the wrong ones equipped." It's not a problem for most of me, as they only do a couple of trades, but my main me, does all of them and spell research. So she's the only one who is annoyed. Everyone else is loving their trophies =p Ngreth i have all confidence you'll make it better =)

Oh, lol so they are NOT supposed to look like pearl necklaces?! My clockwork gnome springs recently switched to that graphic - wonder if that's wrong also?

Should just doing an advanced full file check fix this?

Clio, if you use the default UI, then a full file scan will fix it. If you use a custom UI, then more likely you have to get an updated version from your UI's maker. UI's can replace those icons, and the UI settings will override the default ones. If your UI doesn't know about the new icons, it can't point to them, so EQ won't know where to look for them.

And all of this data is in your EQUI_Animations.xml file. There are two sections which have a list of dragitemsXXX.tga files. You'll need to make new entries for the higher levels (up to dragitems58.tga) from what you have. Just do a search for "dragitems" in that file, and you'll see the first section. Hopefully that will all make sense when you look at the file.

Thank you for all this information - I'm not super savvy when it comes to this UI stuff, but I never had any idea it effected icons too. I do use a custom UI (Lodi Dodi ROCKS!!) and he has promised an update soon.

So in reference to what Twist was saying... if I go to the default UI EQUI_Animations.xml file and copy and paste the higher numbered dragitems files into my custom UI EQUI_Animations.xml file, should that work?

Sorry I know this got derailed off tradeskills, but I do appreciate the help!
