Anyone have any insight into how the new Quests work? Tradeskill drops that we aren't aware of?

Ngreth has asked those of us in the beta program to keep quiet about the "big" tradeskill quest, so I won't comment on that. (Besides, I didn't actually have time to do it in beta anyway, so I don't know anything worth saying other than that it exists. )

I will say, though, that the new tiers of cultural armor and augs are freaking awesome. Researchers by and large seem much happier with the new systematic spell research (at least those who grok it). I'm not sure about the changes to JC; they add a ton of flexibility to the skill, at a cost of the simplicity it had at the lower levels. For someone starting new, it will be easy to grasp. For someone approaching it like the old system, it will be an irritating changeover until they get the hang of it.

Did I miss anything major?

Who's going to make the Guide to Cultural Armors, Level 75 & 80?

I liked the JC changes Ngreth made. Gives the skill so much more flexibility now, in terms of finished product at the lower levels.

There were some brewing, baking, pottery, cultural. I think it's safe to say that tradeskills got a very fair shake this time around. Best TS expansion in a while. I'm not sure if he had the chance to put in a "quested type" recipe, like the Bristlebane he did in PoR (think that was it.) I remember all the people spending time with the various combines and posting results, or interpretations of the riddle on the boards (I hope he finds the time to do one of those again sometime. That was a lot of fun.) We got a great new quest that encompasses all the major tradeskills, which is something people have been asking about for a while.

I have to applaud his Ogreness. Did a fantastic job, and really keeps the community in mind when making things. Thanks Ngreth! Now take so much deserved time off!!!

Can you elaborate on the JC changes a little, Nolrog? Specifically, I am wondering about the new presti/taaf combines with "enchanted palladium".

Any hints on the quests for lvl 75/80 slot 11 augs, and lvl 80 armor?

Symbols have new tasks from your hometown tradeskill NPC. No new quest for amor, it uses the same molds as the previous 4 levels.

Is the new tradeskill quest progressive like Aid Grimel where you have to do Skill A first, that leads to Skill B, that leads to another...etc.

OR

Is it you have one item and can choose to be tested in a skill and turn in the results in any order and have the item improve with each successful "test"?

I dont know... but i think the 1st thing I am going to do after buying my druid port spells is go hunting for this gnome who wants a measure of revenge... to find out!

That is the 3rd thing I am going to do. First is going to be go back to Kelethin and get my new symbol tasks. Then go get my druid port spells. And then go smack some gnome.

That sounds like a pretty large addition. I think if that was there it would have been in the patch message.

I haven't heard anything at all about this. I'd love it if it were true, but I'd expect I'd have at least heard about it if it were.
