Tradeskill updates

I am interested in knowing when (what expansion) major tradeskill upgrades/enhancements took place. Is their a post, list or some other published source for this? If not, does someone have a great memory and would be willing to post the list here? Thanks!!

Tradeskills have been a somewhat ongoing rework/improvement since Ngreth took over as the developer for them.

While not total revamps every time...

Fletching from 282-300 got a big improvement with PoR.

Smithing and tailoring got reworked skill paths this past month (Oct 07).

Jewelrycraft got a new setup with PoR when they added the Staurolite, Prestitidigitase, Harmonagate gems that were cut and had shaped molds. Also it is getting a full revamp with SoF.

Spell research got revamped back with DoDh, I think is when it started, and is getting fully phased into the new system with SoF. I don't have a researcher so not positive on all of this one.

I think PoP was a big improvement for a lot of the skills to provide many higher trivial combines back when the skill cap was raised. However, I was only really a baker back then and do not know the full extents of all the other revamps/reworks.

Baking got a nice enhancement with GoD adding the sauces and meat/fish recipes that set up as a template for baking recipes for all expansions since then that just use a new "meat" in them.

Alchemy was totally revamped as well, but I forget the expansion that happened in.

Tinkering has also gotten a good bit of attention over the last few expansions.

Tinkering got the addition of the AAAA boxes. That was about it.. and that was with DoDh. The DoN Cultural armor through Tinkering was the other major addition.

Before that, it was PoP recipes that were used for the most part. There have been recipes here and there that came in that worked for skilling up, but there was no real re-vamp, as I would call it.

Tinkering got the addition of the AAAA boxes. That was about it.. and that was with DoDh. The DoN Cultural armor through Tinkering was the other major addition.

IIRC, there have been a few knick-knacks each expansion for tinkering. I think the box you use to upgrade the robo-boar is tinkered, and don't forget that the gnome cultural armor is tinkered.

Aldier mentions that in your quoted text! but Tinkering is just an additional path to creating gnomish cultural armours. Seriously though, the only recent change is the addition of tinkered cultural Symbols - and the forthcoming AAAA "upgrades".
