  • Been away from EQ for a while- what's it like these days?

Was a happy level 35 Ranger wandering Xegony, but I wanted to take a break for awhile back last summer- have not been on since July '02.
I loved to wheel and deal in Kelethin (? the tree city), but with the release of some expansion that created the bazaar- everyone left! I got bored with EQ after that- needed to take a break...
What's EQ like these days in general?
For a human ranger how's the tradeskills look these days?
I remember alot of the tradeskills had become harder to acheive because of rarity of drops.

If you had to start over and create a new character- what race and class would you choose and why?

Well, bazaar is a bliss (except to those who, like me, loved to do all their combines in that zone due to the proximity of the fixed combiners)

Tons of recipes allowing you to train and keep the rare drops for that time you really want to succeed.

I went from ranger to druid (tired of taking the boat at the time) then chanter (JC was the only real profitable tradeskill at the time) and made him a gnome (for tinkering).

I think druid and chanter are among the best tradeskill characters, altho all can have their worth (try finding someone to imbue star rose quartz hehe)
