Hmmmm... is it just me??

Okay, I've been tradeskillin fer a good many years now, and I appreciate that the RNG can be cruel at times when chasing that next skillup. BUT.....

I've been workin Oak Treant Recurve Bow since I hit 282, and got my skill up to 287 after several 40 combine batches. Since then, however, and following several recent patches, including the latest Cultural updates, I have failed to get a single skillup after no fewer than 200 combines. Is this just a record setting streak of bad luck, or are other folks experienceing the same fletching skillup difficulties? I was using a collapsible fletching kit, and changed to a tanaan fletching kit just on the off chance that the TS container was the issue.

Feedback appreciated.... either way. I just hate to chew thru foraged ingredients only to discover that there's a bug afoot. Thx

I can definitely sympathize with your bad luck, even though I had nowhere near a 200+ combine run of no skillups (I cleared 100 a couple times though going from 282 to 300). Rest assured, however, that there are no bugs. I got my last 3 skillups in Fletching on Tuesday.

I think the record stands at close to 700 a few years ago.. and no it wasn't broken then either.

I have had a run of over 600 myself. I have heard of people going upwards of 1000 too.

It is just bad luck with the RNG.

I've had at least two runs of over 200 combines and several runs of over 100 combines without skill-ups. The RNG happens.

Just sucks when it is in your favor at the low end (six skillups in 30 combines when you are at 150 skill using cheap materials) and goes against you at the high end when it is hard getting materials.

I figured as much, just wanted to make sure it was indeed bad luck. I'll keep poundin away..... and hope I don't get REMOTELY close to that "700 combine without a skillup" record !!!!!!!!

I haven't had overly many horrible runs, mostly just a few over 300 back when I was doing Arctic Wyvern stuff as a weee pally.

Yes I recall that and half a dozen other reports over 1000. Thankfully my worst was a 588 (fletching, pre-Karana era recipes) but still at the time cost me dearly.

I have been having issues with my tailoring since the new tradeskill stuff started. I'm using the new recipes and 0 skill ups but a couple of guildies said that they have had about the normal skill-ups so....

I'm pretty sure I had near a 1000 streak when I was working on Alchemy. Granted it was on the last couple of points, which always seem to have the worst luck :P

1850 Misty Thicket Combines (including all subcombines)

3 skillups

I haven't played in a week now ... even with it being random, frustration isn't fun ever.
