New Cultural Quest

I went to Neriak Commons to the guy that hands out the tradeskill quest and got offered 5 quest.

The 5 were the Impression quest..for example:

Revered Impressions
Sacred Impressions
and so on.


However, I was informed that those quest given by that guy were for the augs, not for making the armor.

Anyone know where I can find the guy that gives the quest to make the armor instead of the augs?

I got both the armor and the symbol quests from the same NPC in Halas.

He gave me two options in his dialog, though I can't remember the key words...something like "Are you interested in [armor] or [patterns]?"

edit: I looked it up on the DoN quest walk throughs here: "Would you be interested in a pattern [book] or perhaps some armor [patterns]?"

So, you'd say "patterns" to get the armor quest and "book" to get the symbol quest (gathering impressions). If you're going to do cultural, I'd think you'd want to do both quests.

edit: oops, what Amaljia says below: you say "patterns" for the symbol books, and "book" for the armor molds...just do them both :-)

I had previously done up through the master pattern quest and was about 1/2 through the GM quest. Since the patch I went back to the TS Quest giver in Halas and hailed him... said "patterns" and he only offered me the initial collect 4 things quest to get started. I was under the impression that I'd only have to do the new quest for the GM equivalent symbols, not start the entire series of quests over.

Am I doing something wrong or am I stuck starting over?

The old quest for symbol pattern books will still work if you complete it, just you cannot get the old ones.

Perhaps patterns is for the book of ancestral armor and there is another phrase for the symbol quests. I am not certain.

I followed armor then price and it gave me a list of things to go collect..off I go!
