  • Fear drops

I'm heading to Plane of Fear for my first time ever on Feb 1. My Guild has answered my call to raiding it so I can get my childs tear for shaman epic.

are there any drops there that are usefull to us tradeskillers? I'm currently working on Baking, brewing, blacksmithing, tailoring, and pottery. My guildmates have this annoying habit of destroying alot of stuff they don't know the use for. Very few of my guildmate tradeskill. I'd like to be prepaired and gather as much stuff for tradeskills as possible (rather then them destroying it).

even if i can't use the stufft, i'd like to at least sell it in the bazaar so those that can use it have an opportunity to get it.

No, it's an old world zone.
VI did not invest time into tradeskill itemization of the pre kunark zones back then.

i find that hard to believe. Are you telling me NOTHINg drops that can be used in a Tradeskill? no pelts for tailor? no blood for tempers? no ores for smithing? no nothing? no brews used for anything? no silks for tailoring?

        Correct... nothing at all.

Unless you count doing turn-ins of the class-armour for gems in PoK.

P.S. Cryosilk Swatches drop (still do? I've never been there personally), but there is no known use for them.

There are class NPCs in PoK who accept the old No-Drop class armours from Hate/Fear. In return you get a random gem. It might be a BD, might be a Diamond, might be a Raw Diamond, might just be a Peridot.

I'm pretty sure the info is on Alla's site.

Yes you can loot the no-drop armors what no one else wants and turn them into the class specific NPCs in PoK for a random reward just don't make the mistake of looting armor what might be an upgrade to someone in your guild hehe :P

swince i'm the smallest in my guild, i think would be a difficult thing to do, the rest of my guild is somewhat UBER, we are working on getting me UBERIZED.

In fact, the only reason they agreed to going to Fear, is to well, of course help me with my epic, but I believe it's because they want to see if they can beat their record for clearing the zone out. I think i heard one say last time they cleared the whole zone out and rezzed the 3 corpses in 1 hour 50 minutes. (the corpses were fingered by Cazic Thule himself).
They want to beat that record and going in for my epic gives them an excuse.

The only tradeskill supplies that drop in fear are gems (for jewelcraft, and peripherally for pottery and smithing), and research pieces.

If your guild is geared up enough that they don't need Fear armor drops, that is a GOLDMINE for you. Offer to loot every piece. The xp for the turn-ins in PoK is substantial, and with a full clearing of the plane, you'll probably end up with 20-30 armor pieces, which translates into 20-30 gems, and probably enough XP to go from 51 to 52. Lots of peridots, but also more than a couple of diamonds and blue diamonds.

Bring a few stacks of celestial solvent and your mortar and pestle with you and make these as you go. From a Fear cleaning last night I recieved over two stacks worth of research items! That was as much as I could hold at the time.
