Just the drops went in early

It is posible taht the combines MAY work... but I am certainly not telling anyone what they are, nor supporting any issues with them until the Oct 3rd patch.

I'm getting a large load of the new drops and don't know what to do with them... Was harvesting some recluse spinnerettes for tailoring and thought I had more than I did only to find out it was one of the new drops with the same graphic...

My satchels filled up and I only killed like 8 spiders. I was gettting rediculous amount of drops... counted like 12 on one spider.

So my question is what do I do with these things? Taking up a lot of room and they don't sell to venders. Getting a bunch, so it could be good if the drop rate gets cut in the future. But I am unable to do the job I need to do with the amount I am getting so should I start destroying some stuff?

They are global drops, they are dropping in all zones based on mob leve.

                Hmmm....

Okay -- it looks like there are sixtypes of drops (marrow, pelts, silks, ores, loam and Spinneret ).

Each has a number of descriptive relationships (tattered, crude, fine...).

Obviously, the pelts and silk are tailoring and the ores are smithing.

The marrow has to do with blood, so I am suspecting they may relate to tempers or have some of temper-like function?

Loam is a term for clay, so it has to be for pottering.

The Spinneret is probably for making threads, somehow (this what a spider makes silk with and it is also a reference to a tool used in making man-made fibers.

                  Silks go with Spinneret Fluid
                  Skins go with Marrow
                  Ores go with Loam

My only problem with these new drops is the polution of the loot pool. These things are dropping like mad and in stacks up to 4 so far as I have seen. I hope they are not detracting from the other lot tables, or changing the odds on certain drops, as some of them already have a low percentage of chance and if this does effect it then the chance drops drastically. So far only one out of every 20 kills has had none of these drop.../sigh...or so it has been my experience with these.

I'm not thinking the rest of the loot has been affected as far as I can tell. (nothing scientific, just seems about the same) But what I'm wondering is will these high drop rates be reduced after the patch, and will can you sell them to a vender after the patch? Should I be hording these or should we destroy that which is taking up so much room in the bank?

Nope. Maddoc stated to N'greth, none of this will be able to be sold to vendors. if you think you'll need it, save it.

These loots are on the global loot tables. That means they do not affect mob's drop tables. It is something that can drop in addition to normal loot not in place of.

As I have stated MANY times in Many places...
Global Drops just ADD to what is there. It is a totally separate table that pays absolutely 100% NO attention to what any other drop table on the NPC is. It pays no Attention to if they have triggered and dropped something. It pays no attention to if the NPC is already holding 8 items. It pays no attention to even other global loot tables. It pays absolutely NO attention to any drops that are already on the NPC in any way whatsoever. It just goes. Hey do *I* drop... OK add me to what is already there.

And around the the PoR expansion, it was changed so NPC's can drop 22 items instead of just 8... leaving PLENTY of room.

                              Yes an no.

As I have indicated elsewhere... The Rate Per NPC is correct.

What is incorrect is... the amount of NPC's that are getting it. A code bug made this drop on EVERY NPC in the game instead of just the NPC's I had planned (humanoids)
