This is gonna be a really stupid question. I am slowly closing in on the 2400 points in TS on my shaman. In my case, thanks to alchemy, I can get past the standard 7x300=2100. I have never seen it, but I don't understand why there aren't characters with 2700 in TS. In the specific case of, say, a gnome enchanter, couldn't they do the standard 7, then tinkering, then spell research?

They could. just like gnome rogues with poison making and tinkering. I'm sure theres a few gnomes out there with 2700 skill.
But most likely they would only list the 2100, and post the other 300 skills in the specific tinkering, alchemy, research and poison making forums.
It's easier for other people to find a tradeskiller that way, 2100 is always the 7 general tradeskills, but 2400 and 2700 could be a lot of different skills.Dutchy Blackrose < Midnite Council of the Black Rose >
