RNG in RL

I was playing a Real Life game of Backgammon the other day, with a friend that also plays EQ. He was getting frustrated with his "crappy" rolls and my "good" rolls. I simply had to explain to him that it was the RNG messing with him, and that he should simply zone or relog and see if it was better.

To relog, you'd need a heart attack or something that causes your body to shut down for a minute until the EMT can reboot your body by shocking your heart.

As for zoning, if you're in USA I think you need a passport and it comes with 3-4 months of waiting list unfortunately.

Nah, you can still zone into Canada/Mexico with a driver's license. They decided the waiting period was too long for US summer travelers (who procrastinated and waited till the last minute to apply for a passport).

another thing you might think about is this... with the amount of people at any given time in PoK... it is very probable that someone is always doing some sort of tradeskilling there... as well as quests, banking, mgb's going off, people zoning in and out, shrouding, buying/selling to merchants, chat, etc... all of which has a chance to crash the zone. it is probably coincidence that this happened while you were tradeskilling.
