And this proves why some people will hate what I have planed, some will love it, and there is nothing I can do to make everyone like it. There are truly diametrically opposed opinions on what it should be.

I will say I intend it to be group-able.

Since it WILL be No Drop, I am campaining already to move it up from the "75% of raid" to say 80%-85% of raid "gear level"

So yes. Top tier raiders will not find a use for it, but I really do want this to be about ones Tradeskill Abilities, and not ones ability to schmooze a raiding guild.

That said, It WILL test your ability to get a group. I will not shy away from content that requires grouping. Someone who purely solos and refuses to go into groups will find this very difficult to complete.

At this time I do not want to give much more than general information like this.

Want a way to push tradeskillers in to old content?

Want a way to have people farming zones that are pretty much idle?

Require possession of the 8th shawl to progress through a "modern" TS quest.

The artisan charm is wonderful for giving TS'ers a reason to push their skill levels up. With the changes in the wanderlust series, its becomming kind of a backwater though.

Putting possession of the 8th shawl as a requirement for progressing a modern TS task would definately push people in to idle zones, and bring people back through idle content.

Heck, I'd also like to see a 9th shawl, and a 10th shawl, but, I'm guessing that that would require coding changes in velious zones n whatnot.

Just stray thoughts.

Because the warrior is a tradeskiller.


The Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl was for a long time considered the hallmark of tradeskill passion, a right of passage. That's why they would want one.
