I don't know how hard it would be, but if they changed the bank interface to be like that of the guild banks, they could theoretically add space when they needed. I think the guild bank is a bit massive though to allow every character to have access to it. The "deposit" area could even act as the shared bank slots for an account if they could be linked. It would also get rid of the need to have bags fill your bank just to hold everything and help people get more organized about what they have in the bank.

It sounded, from the other threads, that adding bank space was a real challenge. With expansions only being once a year, I am curious if for 2008 someone couldn't look into seeing what could be done about the max bag size. They have 1.5 years to look into it?

Not as much a specific "Code" issue. It does have to be changed with a code, change, and it is possible.

It just takes code time. It is not something where just a few numbers can be changed and poof you have more bag space. It actually takes some of the programmers time, not designer time. One of the biggest time sinks of it is the interface change :/ Currently code is scheduled at greater than 100% capacity, so... it does not fit. The team has decided that there are other things they want to see done.

The proposed by players change to "guild bank" straight list is an even larger code change, and would take even more time. Guild banks are a special animal and while I expect some code could be shared, it would still be a rather large undertaking.
