Could you give me a few more details? Was this from EQ or your Web site?

If from EQ, what exactly were you typing? What item were you linking?

If from a Web site, what was the URL you're using? What was the item ID you tested with?

It was from EQ and I was linking several itens one of which was bat wing and another was fresh fish i typed /www.eqtraders.com/r<item> also /www.eqtraders.com/r?<iten> no luck either way

Aha! There's the problem. It's not /www(dot)eqtraders, it's /www(space)eqtraders

So, it's:

/www   eqtraders.com/i?<link>
/www   eqtraders.com/r?<link>

..Ok I tried a water flask...got the website but it said water flask was not an eq id....I linked it like it said...just no luck that way.

Very odd. I just tested a water flask myself, and it linked fine. Again, what's the exact text you typed, and are you sure it's a normal, vendor-bought water flask, not some odd quest item or the special newbie water flasks?

Lucy lists two items with the name water flask. One is the normal, vendor-sold one used in tradeskills. The other is the no-trade version some races get as their freebie drink when a new toon is created. Make sure you're not using that one. If your water flask has the QUEST tag, it's the right one for tradeskills.

I have a couple of ways of reducing the typing needed even further.

1) If you use Firefox, you can change the "keyword.URL" to be "http://eqtraders.com/r?" (type "about:config" in the URL bar, then type "keyword" in the Filter box - click the keyword.URL line and enter the item link URL.

2) You can use this VBscript "glue script" that I wrote: extract it, and run it with a " -install" after it to set it up, and " -remove" to un-hook it: http://www.united-kingdoms-ab.org.uk/eqt-itemlinker.zip (note - set to do the reverse recipe search with "/r?" by default, edit the file with wordpad or similar to tweak to item lookup -- but if you want a straight item lookup, you can change that to point to Lucy instead if you prefer.

Once you've done either of these, you can look up the item from EQ with simply "/www" followed by the item link.

Now that's very odd. Do this for me, please. When you have a chance, copy/paste the URL of the error page into a message here. Maybe that will give me a clue.

Moot point now, it seems to be working just fine now, I am using <ashamed to admit> IE7. Oh well, maybe I was doing something wrong, I have been known to make mistakes before just ask my wife she is keeping a list.../grin.

Ah, that SPACE is pretty easy to miss. Most everyone will naturally put a dot in there.

I tried mine from in-game today, worked just fine for the common stuff like vegatables. But when I linked a finished item, like the spells I make, they don't come up. So I guess there is a lot of numbers to fill in first before that happens.

I had hoped that doing the finished item would come up with the recipe page to make it. Making it a bit faster to find out how to make something when somebody asks you "can you make these?"

Just to check, could you list the name of the spell and copy/paste the URL you get when you try to link it from in game? I'll double check to make sure it's working.

This is one of those oddball cases.

Lucy/Alla's shows two items named Words of Dominion. One of them has plenty of sources and other info, and it's used in tradeskill recipes. This is the one stored in our database.

The other one in Lucy/Alla's is more obscure, with very outdated info (no drakkin, for example), no sources, and no recipes. The link you got was for this unknown Words of Dominion.

I would be very curious as to whether your Words can be used to make the same spells as the Words we have listed.
