1) AAAA's are obsolete. The focus effects won't carry over to level 80.
2) // because Ngreth edited the OP
3) It's called a Non-Disclosure-Agreement for a reason. In My (Not Always) Humble Opinion, except where I quote someone. If I don't know I say so.
I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.

1) Dev's aren't under the NDA that players are
2) No one needs your snotty attitude
3) AAAA's are not obsolete, being used constantly and new versions of augs that as far as anyone will know will use them like the previous incarnation of type 12 raid augs are coming in SoF (you know, how Ngreth told us things that are coming in the next expansion, since he isn't bound by the NDA signed by beta players)
Loosen your britches. The guy removes "ngreth" from the post and its a simple inquiry about whether a bottleneck tradeskill item that is going to need more use in the expansion will be available on more mobs that doesn't break any forum rules.

I do not do loot for another 6 weeks at least. (don't have my schedule here) it is the last thing I do before we start our "iteration" cycle because I need everyone to be as done with their zones as possible.
That being said... there are gnomeworks... and they are constructed about the same way.... and that is as much information on it as I am giving.
I will not be commenting on the other sniping in this post... other than to say everyone needs to calm down.

Nobody said they were under the same NDA as players that are in beta are.Originally posted by Abazagaroth View Post1) Dev's aren't under the NDA that players are
Too stay on topic, I'd guess that if there are more clockwork type mobs, that it would be possible to have these drop in the SoL zones.Rawckett Launcher

Actually, the AAAA's are not obsolete. While the spell foci from the current crop of augs will degrade to useless at level 80 the same is not true of the melee foci. Additionally, there is information to indicate a new crop of augs will be introduced for level 80.Originally posted by Itek View Post1) AAAA's are obsolete. Also there are indications that SOE is examining the way spell foci currently decay. They recognise that there is a problem. What they will do about it and when they will do it hasn't been stated. (btw, don't bug da ogre about degrading foci. It is probably in the domain of itemization or spells. It certainly doesn't have anything to do with tradeskills.)Last edited by gggrant; 05-27-2007, 04:09 AM.

Focus degrade for casters is a bad thing right now, but the AAAAs are still in demand for many people. As noted above, the melee ones don't really degrade.
We did Shyra just last Friday, and 7 people put in for the bazu stone (including me). We are Anguish level guild, so not even to last blood level augs yet.

The problem people fail to realize is when you raid content you're raiding, rarely is group gear anywhere nearly as good as raid gear. This still holds true for Anguish, Bazu, Fallen Saint, and Last Bloods. People still raid Anguish, Demi, DK as current raid content, which means that for a lot of people... it's the best gear they can get at that level, thus not obsolete.
Bazu stone / LB have nothing to do with degradation. Simply put, even without the focii, they provide some of the best gear obtainable at that raid level range... focii were nothing but a bonus.
