Anyone else think it would be cool

if there were a machine that would let you MGB stuff like ice cream and coffee? I have this dream of MGBing mocha coffee on Saturday Morning raids and MGBing champagne after an interesting raid mob goes down the first time. Maybe one machine that actually does the MGB and another machine that takes whatever it is you wanted to MGB and compacts it into a unit that the mgb machine can use? I dont want to get out of making copious quantities of the items to cover the MGB just make it a little easier to share our baked and brewed creations.

I realize its probably an impossibility for a multitude of reasons but thought I would throw the idea out there just in case.

Hilarious! That would be a fun idea!

We know that items "can" be MGB-ed... how many times have you found a mod rod on your trader's cursor? And those (infamous) Chaotic Jesters MGB food and drink (or is it a single-target spell?).
I think if the result was "no drop", it would do little to harm the game, but certainly liven up baking and brewing.

Mages have been asking for more targetted summon spells since the mod rod was first changed to work that way. SoE is not willing to add any more since too many items on the cursor can cause a loss of items, opening up the possibility of griefing.

Well you can reach that level already with targettable spells.

Though with the option of blocking buffs and spells that shouldn't be an excuse on not doing something like this.

The mechanics exist for this in the game already, including a clicky item that AE summons a stack of booze. =) (Check out the Mug of the Endless Fan Faire.)

It's just a question of whether there's a willingness and leeway in policy to allow it.
