Sambata faction

I was hunting DSP the other night and was killing Sambatas. I know you can fix their faction by killing Rockhoppers, but besides being KOS to them, do I need their faction to buy special items for tradeskilling(like the Otters) or have any worthwhile quests?

If yes to either of them, I'll kill some Rockhoppers to fix it, but if not, then I won't bother.
