There is a lot more mushrooms spawing around the fairy village now, lots of sarcosphya fungus, however LOL there is no jack-o-lantern fungus spawning, it is spawning as jack-o-lantern extracts. They look like bags on the ground, guessing this is a mistake.

The colored trader statchels looks to use the same recipe as the hand made back pack except they use HQ cat pelt instead of wolf skin, and they require boning for "strength"

I will have to play around a bit later. my main PC is out of comission because it's leaking water and my backup PC plays EQ like it's a 486.

Not exactly. Hand made back pack requires silver thread. Traders satchel requires platinum thread. This makes them much more pricey to create. Currently they have a graphic identical to colored backpacks, but are NO TRADE.

You must turn the trader satchel into a token to be tradeable. I did this last night with not problem and currently have yellow trader satchels on my trader in the bazaar.

hrm. thought I fixed that. though actually.... are the tokens no-trade? that is more important, though I understand the convenience of passing it about alts if it is trade-able, so will probably fix it after confirming with Maddoc.

Why do the trader satchels have to be NO TRADE? It's not like anybody would carry them on their regular character as they weigh 25? Would be a bit easier swapping things between alts and such. Just curious really.

Originally it was to not give "cheap easy 10 slot giant bags"

But the player made colored stuff I don't mind being trade-able, it was an oversight

And trader's statchels are 25 weight so defiantly not good for "cheap carry about" bags. Just cheap that's all.

So make sure the colored statchels token is tradeable as probably 99% of bazaar mule have zero tailoring skill =)

I wish they had a different graphic though, for instance the normal trader satchel graphic. It would make it even more easy to separate bank items that way, and reduce the chance you'd put the wrong (hand made backpack) bag on your trader assuming you could sell the items it contained.

Since there're only 9 icons for color backpacks, does that mean the new Brown Backpack is the same color as the old regular handmade backpack?

Yes brown is the same color. A brown hand made backpack holds giant, which is slightly better than a regular hand made backpack. Dunno about a brown trader's satchel.

That is mostly a matter of getting art time I plan on asking for more bags with colors... But all of the artists are currently busy, so it will be a while.

can you please explain the logic of using platinum thread for the colored trader's satchels? Maybe I'm the only plat poor person left playing eq, but 200p for the thread is too pricey for me just to use colored sacks to organize things.

Same reason satchels needed boning to make one. It had to be made large and strong. But if you wanted colored bags for organizing banks and not expensive ones, use hand made colored backpack recipes instead it uses silver thread. I'm willing to bet demand for colored satchels won't be strong at all because regular bags are only a few plats each. So one could always try to appeal to a buyer's gotta-have-em-all style and sell 9 overpriced colored bags.
