• A lot more fails

As of lately did anyone get a lot more fails on trivial combines? I m talking the range 225 to 275 combines... i have all tradeskills over 300 and getting 20% fails... coincidence or a small taste of what is to come changing to < difficulties> ?

I've made a run of Master vah Shir cultural for my tailoring. I was getting about 5% fail rate plus skillup from 262 to 267 in a run of about 100 combines.

One possibility for your high fail rate is the recipe trival much higher. When your skill is near or just above the recipe trival, you get around 5%. But if your skill is way below, the fail rate increases.

Finally some items have hard coded cap. I think some GM gears have max of 80% success rate.

In my mediocre sample for grandmaster's chest, legs, chest symbols, and leg symbols of 123 combines; I have a pathetic 53% success rate.

This is with 300 skill, level 6 trophy (12%), and mastery 3 in both smithing and tailoring.

If nothing is being unintentionally fudged in the formula or its implementation, Ive at least been unlucky. . . for a long time. Maybe its karma paying me back for something.

A lot of recipes, including DoN cultural and OoW augments, have always been subject to SUCCESS RATE CAPS. (Click link for more info.)

Yes the GM gears have hard coded cap. BP and legs and the symbols for chest and legs are like 60% max, other 80% I think. With your skill at 300, the trophy mod won't help at all. Only thing useful at this point is the max salvage AA.

The original poster is asking if you are getting higher than normal failures on combines that are TRIVIAL, thus do not give a skill-up.

The orignal poster stated's skill is 300, and was attemping items with a trivial of 225 - 275 and failing 20% of the time.

I have not noticed an increase in failing on these myself, but I do not do too many combines that are trivial to me, as I have been trying to skill-up most of my tradeskills.

              A lot more fails

Aye... as Rawckett stated. It were a number of subcombines i was doing for my tinkering gnome. I also noticed that on every fail nothing was salvaged either. Of course it can just have been a bad stroke that 's why i asked.
