Until the patch next Wednesday, only gnomes can do that combine. On Wednesday, new containers will be made available and everyone will be able to use them to do the jar of grease combines.

Until the next Wednesday, your best bet is to either ask a gnome friend to do the combines or make a level 1 gnome alt and make the combines on that character.
