I can't combine...anything?

I've tried several times to combine my GVD and Shrink Device, and not been able to, yes I'm using the right things, the button is greyed out...I use ctrl click the box and its white, but will not combine. I've been absent some time...is there something I'm missing?

I did search, I couldn't find anything...sorry for the trouble.

They are changing it so race/class restricted containers can only be used by that race or class. Unfortunately, the change accidently went in before the replacement containers did.
Until the next patch (April 17th I believe) the only way to recharge a GVD is to hand it to a gnome.
After that patch, there will be a new container available for recharges that is usable by all races. There will also be a new collapsed container, and Ngreth said you will be able to exchange current collapsed toolboxes for the new collapsed container using the bag token barbarian in the bazaar.
