I have been avidly working on the tbs armors as a skill up path, i also sell it in the bazaar (for twinks mostly), in order to help fund said tradeskills.
Lets look at the best TBS Player-made Robe and Compare it to the best PoP Player-made Robe from several expansions ago:
Spun Energeiac Cloth Robe
MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM ATTUNEABLE INFUSIBLE
Slot: CHEST
Purity: 40
AC: 20
Focus Effect: Mana Preservation IV
STR: +5 DEX: +5 STA: +5 CHA: +5 WIS: +5 INT: +5
AGI: +5 HP: +80 MANA: +80 Endurance: +80
SV FIRE: +4 SV DISEASE: +4 SV COLD: +4 SV MAGIC: +4
SV POISON: +4
Recommended level of 60
Required level of 55
Robe of Ancient Earth
MAGIC ITEM
Slot: CHEST
AC: 25
STR: +12 DEX: +10 STA: +8 INT: +8 HP: +120 MANA: +50
SV DISEASE: +15 SV POISON: +15
Recommended level of 63
Required level of 46
Lets Compare the Differences:
Spun Robe:
LORE
ac:20
stats:35
resists:20
hps: 80
mana:80
req lvl: 55
focus: mana pres 4
Earth Robe:
NOT LORE
ac: 25
stats: 38
resists: 30
hps: 120
mana:50
req lvl: 46
focus: none
So, Earth robe is NOT LORE - has 5 more ac, +3 in stat increases, +10 more resists, +40 more hps, 30 less mana, req lvl is 9 lvls lower, no focus and is several expansions old.
While the focus effect does help to make the Spun Robe more attractive It seems the newest expansion should be offering the best player made items available, when you add to the fact the armors are LORE thus making them a pain to try and skill up on anything besides the wrists, or trying to keep a few in stock to sell. It only adds to the frustration of using this as a means to get people excited about new expansion player-made items and causes tradeskillers not to be as fruitful as they could be with just a few minor tweaks.
My suggestion:
Tweak the stats a bit, more hps / ac on plate / chain. better resists overall.
take away the decreases of ac from the growth orbs. its darn near impossible to even give them away after letting people know they take away AC.
(dont even get me started on the decay orb!!) hehe
And PLEASE drop the LORE tag. its annoying and seems so needless
PS: I dont claim to be an expert in any way and would love to hear some feedback on what others with more knowledge of player-made items think.
Thanks in advance!
