Confirmed I just checked after I noticed a post from Ngreth that the bug fix was live patched.

So that wraps up this thread mostly. 18 new recipes (9 with HQ bear and 9 with HQ rockhoper), 18 new quests (9 bag to token, 9 token to bag)

Next: to pester Ngreth to expand the colored bag lines and make use of the other 9 colored bag graphics. Maybe something on par with leatherfoot haversack recipe in cost and difficulity but can be made by any race?

Evergreen Leafs

OK...found BEST way to find Evergreen Leafs...Go to the Mesa Place on the TSS expansion...49 here...memory fading, Gor' ak Mesa, the one that sounds like Klingon. Look for a HUGE willow tree. You will have to follow a path in circles til you get to it. There are many, many faries there. Now the leaves spawn under the giant willow eaisly reconized as the largest tree there. But the catch is, type in /showgrass off. All the little bushes will disappear and the green leaves and sometimes acorns will be easily seen now, because the grass under the tree is brownish. I collected 100 in about 3-4 hours. Easiest way I know of and only works there. GFay's grass is green, so would be so hard to spot. Hope this helps and thanks to all for the tips and hints on the bags. Nice addition to the game. ( If your a tracker, track Kathryn, she is like the head honcho fairy in camp )

Seems the little spore guys in swamp droped fungus more that the big trackers. Did well on those myself, just my 2cp...thx

Those little spore guy are so small I'd probably need a shrink so I could actually see them. >_< I know some classes get spell that magnify the screen area by a factor of 2, wonder if there's a clicky version that's vah shir beast useable?

Nearly 2 weeks after the working colored bag recipes went in, the demand has slowed signifiantly. It is now getting hard to sell any colored bags even at 500pp each and I'm competing against at least 3 other sellers.

Demand has been slowing down but have sold well over 200 bags on Prexus. There is a limited amount of bags any one person would want and most folks really won't care.

Expect sales to be slow going forward.

I'm looking forward to returning to home and filling my banks with colored bags. Unfortunately, I never saved all those dyes I used to have from the days of making a paltry living selling dyed Fine Plate. It should be fun hitting all my old farms and gathering up the components.

Unfortunately for me (on Cazic) it has been a case of "help a stranger, create a competitor". Within mere hours of telling at least 3 strangers how I made "those great new backpacks" there were producing them and underselling me.

A sucker might not be born every minute but the spawn isn't that far off.

Dark in dye name causing DNC

I made up the dyes following the formulas given form the link on the main page NEWS about colored backpacks. Most of my colors came out with "Dark" in the finished product. Dark yellow dye, Dark red dye, Dark green dye DNC in New tannan loom , deluxe sewing kit, or community loom in rivervale. I have all the other parts HQ wolf, HQ bear, silver thread, BP pattern. Where did I go wrong? Is there a more detail dye chart? Seems resin is affecting the tint , but I do now know how to interpret the method.

With the exception of rust orange, dark blue or black, all dyes need 2 or 3 resin to make:

Purple need light grey (black extract + 3 resin) and light blue (Permafrost extract + 3)
White needs light yellow (3 resin + jack-o-lantern extract)

Blue, red, yellow, and green needs 2 resin each.

I might not be so popular for mentioning this, but i couldnt help noticing something about these colored bags when compared to the original:

Hand Made Backpack
WT: 3.0 Weight Reduction: 10%
Capacity: 10 Size Capacity: LARGE

Colored Hand Made Backpack
WT: 3.0 Weight Reduction: 10%
Capacity: 10 Size Capacity: GIANT

Now, I know this isn't the same EQ from a few years ago, but I remember it being hard to find GIANT bags relitively inexpensively. You have to figure there was a reason why the original Hand Made Backpack was only a Large.

Im pretty sure I read that these were meant for bank use (although not exclusively), but if thats the case, shouldn't the weight or weight reduction be looked at?

Ngreth didn't want any "easy" high WR bag in the game. 10&#37; is good but for something like 75% or even 100% colored bags, you may be looking at something as complex and expensive as leatherfoot haversack. More so if it's going to be 0.5 weight or lighter for monks.

aye, I was hinting at removing the WR, or upping the weight of the bag.

I decided that these are still not as "easy" and slightly more expensive. So I was willing to go ahead and let it go. And 10% is not that significant

I think the original decisions were BEFORE the silliness of deluxe toolbox which to me really blows away any reasons to not have a player made slightly better container. It is not that much better than a deluxe toolbox, but it will cost you more, even if you make it yourself.
