  • Purity rating

Well gettin galot of questions about this in game and now also on forums. So just tought id write a little explenation.

Energeiac items all have a purity rating. The purity rating in theory goes from 0 -100. While no 100 items have been uncovered as far as I know.

The purity rating is related to the power source. The higher the purity rating the better stats it gets from the power source. It is belived that each powersource has a set number of stats and that the purity rating tells you in % how much of theese stats you get.

An item with a purity of 50 would recivee 50% of the stats on the power source.

    Hope this answers your question.
Please add your own experiences with purity rating and power sources. Especially how different purity ratings treat negativ stats. Since some Power sources give negativ stats do theese increase or decrease as the purity of teh armor increases?
Note: Due to a hand injury caused by a friend throwing a broken scissor into my hand my typing = crap. So dotn be so critical.

I've moved this to the General Board since it's an inappropriate post for The Buried Sea Data forum. The Buried Sea Data forum is only for database updates.

You should feel free to discuss and observe purity ratings on items or other purity variations in tradeskilled items in this thread now that it's moved.

My only experience with purity so far is with my magician, who has the Ore level armor and cores and my Druid who has pebble level. I'm still meaning to make a suit of 'pebble' silk since no one else has, so I'll give the mage a piece and see what the differences are between pebble and ore cores... My guess on it was that the purity of an armor piece needs to meet or exceed the purity of a power source in order to get the maximum benefit, so a purity 30 item would not take full advantage of a purity 40 core. I'll see what happens when I get to playing around with them in the next day or so.

...That which we are, we are,--
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will,
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yeild.
