Losing Plat

My wife is losing plat in the Bazaar, every so often someone buys a stack of "a vial of Prismatic dye" and instead of getting the price of the stack she is seeing only the price of one dye show up in her inventory. I bought a stack from her to verify this.... I had 800 plat deducted, she only saw 40 plat increase in her plat on her character. Anyone know of this, or have a remedy (other than her not selling dye at all ?? It seems that if it is affecting her it should be happening to others, but I see no mention of it anywhere here or in EQlive forums.

wow, that is a weird one, hope you /bugged it in game.

IS it just the dye or did it happen with other stacks of items?

There was another thread on this issue so it appears to be a bug or possibly an exploit.

Someone was talking about this in Baz on Povar last night as a known bug, so its not just you. I also couldnt find anything on EQLive for this. Will /bug tonight if i can work it.

probably related to the item stacking we see on mobs. you know when you loot that stack of 4 spiderling silk of a dead spider and the loot window only shows you looting 1.

Ngreth posted an update to this on the EQForums. Until its confirmed to have been fixed you may wish to not sell more than one stack of items.

And the other problem is the people paying the plat DO lose the full amount. So they think they paid full price, but somehow, it gets lost on the receiving end.

yeah I bet a few people have been accused of cheating people... when its really the trader himself dipping into teh proceeds... darn dishonest mules.

I certainly hope that the source of this problem gets tracked down and a patch for it put through soon. On my server, I have seen a noticable drop in the number of people selling things in the bazaar, and I suspect that word is getting around about this bug and causing said drop in bazaar traders. I, for one, have no desire to get ripped off, and so I'm avoiding /trader mode like the plague until this issue is resolved. It's annoying, to say the least.

I thought the fix went in already (unfortunately often code bugs don;t get in the patch notes... so not sure)

Can test with a friend... make a stack of 10 and 15 ... have friend buy 20 and see what the results are. Would do it myself if I was not on vacation!

I tried it after the last patch. My trader had about 220 10lb Halas meat pies and my boxed account character bought 4 stacks... all the money was accounted for.

I tried again with Imbued Emeralds and the result was the same: no money lost.

(This info as of last patch -- now Feb 27th and still fine)

Last night had 2 blue diamonds, both gone, only money for 1 in inventory.
3-4 nights ago, 2 spells, again both gone, only money for one (luckily only a 150PP spell and not my expensive ones)
