atm for thoose interested seems the only items you need that are dropped are the sunshard ore and dusts. Theese togheter with apropriat grade vendor bought items ( metals mostly) make conduits. The codnuits are made with either jewlkcrafting or tinkering ( unconfirmed)
you then combine the apropriat number of conduits and leather paddings or whatever. In a tradeskill apropriat container ( smithing / tailoring) which in return is the final combine. So far seems all but the sunshard items are vendor sold.
Problem is atm no clear camp has been found. The ore and powder can drop of any rando mmob in norrath. Drop rate estimat so far fro mothmirs is like 3 dusts from 8x clearings of beach. which basically kills it you ask me. at best it seems this new rout will be an addition to your othmir combines.
Worst thing is that so far seems that the stuff coming out barely has 250 tailoring trivials.
while its stil lto early to pass judgement. things aint lookin good for trivials ore em dirty drop rates.
putting stuff on lots of mobs never really helped increase the supply as much as limiting the number of mobs and increasin gdrop rate has.Note: Due to a hand injury caused by a friend throwing a broken scissor into my hand my typing = crap. So dotn be so critical.

It drops off Othmirs?
I hope that it hasn't affected thr drop rate of the furs!, crystalized sulfur, velious gems and other cash drops (crustacean, spells, research stuff...)

that and other reports ... well basically hearsay from others seem to indicate they drop off a wide veriety of mobs.Note: Due to a hand injury caused by a friend throwing a broken scissor into my hand my typing = crap. So dotn be so critical.

'Twas I that reported the dust off the fuzzy guys on the beach. In 8 clearings, I got 3 sunshard dust, 38 furs, and 36 crystallized sulfur. So, the furs and sulfur seem within the "normal" range of clearing. My gem droppings were a bit light, but that could just be randomness.

Am I the only one getting the feeling that the trivials are to low compared to the level of the mobs the components drop from ?
we talking 158 trivials on powder based combines..... and powder drop of othmirs which furs have close to 300 trivial......Note: Due to a hand injury caused by a friend throwing a broken scissor into my hand my typing = crap. So dotn be so critical.

There have been two changes to NPC loot.Originally posted by Maevenniia View PostIt drops off Othmirs?

#1 the limit is about 22 slots of items instead of the old limit of 8 slots. (I forget the exact number... but it is higher than 8 by a largish amount!)
#2 we now have a "global" loot system. I can add things to NPC's without in any way affecting what is currently dropping on them.
Currently the sunshard_X, where X is the specific type, is dropping for every mob in the game of appropriate level. (each type has a different level range of npc)
With some new information I got yesterday... I will likely be doubling this drop rate. I was basing my rate on some faulty information I got about rate of kills by players. With this covering such a large amount of zones, I am not sure how I will handle this because we don't like patching ALL zones... It takes extra time and makes patches longer. So I may do it in batches, at which point I will post the "doubled" zones on the Artisan's Way when I do them (or there will be an opportunity to patch all zones and then I will just say so)
