OoW augment question

Sorry, i tried to search, but there's too many posts to find my answer...

If i make a Radiant XXXX of Pure YYYY augment, it is recommended level 65. If a level 55 person uses it, the radiant portion does scale down, but what happens to the effect portion? Does it remain at the full pure level or go down to a normal level, or not work at all?

Depends on the effect. I've never seen Haste scaled, for example.

Focus effects provide the same effect for all levels under their cap (so a focus effect that affects max level 70 spells will give the same boost for a level 1 or level 51 or level 70 spell).

Melee effects like cleave or ferocity don't look at level at all; they work the same for all levels. Faerune, Plainsight, and See Invis also work this way.

Only the number is scaled down (i.e. Wisdom, Strength, etc). The focus effect works as long as you can wear the augment.

Be careful with putting high rec. augs in equipment, because it makes the entire item rec. for that level and will reduce the existing stats on it as well.

I made that mistake with my 63 bard, adding a 70 rec. aug into his weapon and it reduced the stats way down, including the damage, and the net result was actually worse than without the aug!

Aye what is said above all rings troug htough pet foci ( dunno if oow augs havet hat now) only start at certain levels. checking the focus effect on alla usually tells you all you need to know tough.
