  • Best zone to train forage?

    Hello all

I going to train forage from 0 to max, can anyone tell me a good zone with some hard to get stuff?. I have been away from eq for some time now, actually five expansions, so i have no idea what to look for. Glad to see you guys are still around

Assuming you have all of the expansions (and you're meaning that you don't plan on exping as you forage), the best zone would probably be the Elddar Forest (PoR expansion) for the treant branches, which still sell fairly well for fletching. Otherwise, I think LDoN zones could be good for Air-Infused Spring Water, Steaming Water, and Scale Ore (but they share a much larger forage table).

/nod to the DON zones too...Broodlands if you zone in from Lavastorm and sit inivs in the hollow above the cave you enter through is good.

              would also
/nod Elddar Forest, IF.. and ONLY IF... you can handle the lag... it's bad for many people.. but fairly safe too.

              If you are working baking...
Natimbi is a good place to forage.. LOTS of cragbeast/hynid meats in varying weights... will be a big help with your baking skill, also... while there you will get brewing items as forages...

Another thing you should be aware of is that the forage tables are zone wide. That is to say, it doesn't really matter where in a zone you are, the whole zone is the same. So pick a safe spot.

I like to fish while i forage:-) The best place to do both is Gulf of Gunthak IMO.

If plat is an issue for you...
I would also remind that many of the meat items you forage sell for plat (sometime multiple plat) for each item. Since things stack if you do an extended forage run you can generate a tody sum of plat to get yourself started.

Worth noting, you can map your forage key to one of your movement arrows for no-muss no-fuss skill ups.

Can't get in right now, but my autoforage key looks like

                      /doability 4
                      /autoinv, pause 5
                      /autoinv

Where 4 is the box on my actions window forage occupies, yours may be different. I use two /autoinv's because I have the double forage AA's.
