  • Yew leaf locations?

    Hiya,
I'm playing on The Sleeper server and yew leaves are still quite useful as a skillup route for tailoring, however I cannot seem to find the secret to collecting them that others have.

I've seen people selling many stacks of them that they had collected from the ground spawns, and while I believe they may be using ShowEQ or some other cheater program to find them.. they say they are not. (Of course)

On the chance that I'm wrong and they had just spent many, many hundreds of hours scouring Wakening Land and recording the location of every ground spawn they found, I'm begging somebody to let me in on these locations.

I've tried finding the ground spawns myself, I've spent hours searching with my nose to the ground.. before and after the leaf graphic change, and I have not found a single ground spawn.. ever. This was even with using that vague guide that shows the general locations of the yew leaf spawns painted in green that I found somewhere online.

So if someone has this secret, share please?

I think I know what map you are speaking of, and I actually did find that useful back in the day when I needed them. Although those green areas are so big and the leaves are so small.... no fixed spawnpoints so loc's aren't really helpful. Of course I had the advantage of the zone being deserted and just ran around picking them up invis for hours at a time.

    Have you considered foraging them?

I've had luck, lately, with a mule for this purpose. Halfling rogue (can sneak/hide at 1) SoW potion, duck, scoot. Being low to the ground and SoW to counteract the slowness of sneak/hide, I can pick up 10-20 before I have to get creative to avoid mobs.

they are now in "semifixed" points.

each one can spawn at multiple particular points, and only those points... but which of those points is randomly chosen at spawn time, and there are a few hundred points.
