  • Trophy

This is really one that could be posted in JC.. but I figured it could be applied to any Tradeskill.
My trophy is level 4/7.. yet my skill is 288, is there any way to get it to level 5 it should be? It's a bit behind..

It will catch up, just give it time.

It will actually catch up faster until it matches you in skill. No worries really, until you're trying to get to that level 7 trophy. THEN you want to make sure you have it equipped all the time. (And no, um, I DIDN'T make 30 spells the other day when my level 6 trophy was at 82%!)

Yeah, it got a decent ways behind me when I did 200-288 and didn't equip it at all, but I wanted cheaper combines.. and that meant not using it =)
      Thanks for response )

You have a chance to get a skill-up if you unmodified skill is below the item's trivial. It does not matter what your modded skill is. Am I missing the point here?

I use the bandoleer one set for Tradeskill of choice ATM and one set for Sell this way it a one click trick to swap for best prices. I think though that I have figured out something about the trophy upgrading it self. I started a new toon the other day to try out my theory and it goes like this for level one it seems 1% per sucessful light blue to red combine beginning at 50 of course which is where you have to be to get it. When I hit stage 2 I could not get another point till I had hit 102 then again it was 1 % per sucessful light blue or harder combine. Nothing again till 152 then it changed on me and even though I had sucessful combines I would not always get an increase, I have no idea what the formula for skill up is but maybe someone with more patience and plat can figure it out and post it here someplace and Ngreth can chuckle at our attempts...lol

And no Tiroon you have it right it is based on your unmodded skill.

What makes a man a man? A friend of mine once wondered. Is it his origins? The way he comes to life? I don't think so. It's the choices he makes. Not how he starts things, but how he decides to end them.John Myer~Hellboy 2004

I really wish I had known that sooner hehe
Always figured trophy actually raised your skill, but I don't know, I'm crazy.
Never knew you could skillup with a modified skill that's trivial =p

Whether or not a recipe is trivial to you is checked against your base (un-modded) skill.
